Nurtured Roots Lactation Support provides non-judgemental and comprehensive support to clients of all abilities, ages, socio-economic statuses, educational backgrounds, ethnicities, genders, languages, races, religions, family compositions, and sexual orientations. We are committed to creating and safeguarding a culturally accountable, trauma-informed, accessible and inclusive environment for all.

 We acknowledge that Nurtured Roots Lactation Services is located on the traditional ancestral lands of the Anishinaabek, Haudenosaunee, the Chippewas of the Thames First Nation, Oneida Nation of the Thames, the Munsee-Deleware Nation, Neutral peoples, Lunaapeewak and Attawandaron peoples, on lands connected with the London Township and Sombra Treaties of 1796 and the Dish with Spoon Covenant Wampum. We acknowledge the Upper Canada Treaties signed concerning lands included in Huron and Perth Counties, which include Treaty #29 and Treaty #45 ½. 

We commit to the Truth and Reconciliation Report calls to action including those that support cultural accountability in healthcare settings to meet the unique needs of First Nations, Inuit, and Metis people. We commit to listening to the voices of First Nations, Inuit and Metis knowledge keepers and learning from their valuable cultural beliefs on health and holistic wellness.
